Paul Simon was a genius of Folk rock, folk-pop, soft rock, world fusion and also a Singer-songwriter, musician, record producer who played with, guitar, bass guitar, piano, percussion, saxophone, and had a command over music that could sway his fans and become a treasure for them.
Simon began a successful solo career; recording highly acclaimed and politically conscious albums which inspired the anti-apartheid movement in South Africa.
Simon has earned 13 Grammys so far for his rich and amazing work, and also the Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2001, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fameand was also selected as one of the “100 People Who Shaped the World”.
From the early childhood he was inspired by black music and looked to it for an alternative culture developing an interest in jazz, folk and blues.
